ABOUT
Shouse Consulting is a comprehensive public affairs firm based in Oklahoma City that helps clients navigate today’s complex legislative and regulatory environment. We provide government relations, lobbying and advocacy services to help clients achieve their policy and business objectives. Shouse Consulting President Jerrod Shouse has more than twenty years of experience working with Oklahoma’s legislative and executive branches, and with industry leaders across the state.
Shouse Consulting represents some of the state’s most recognizable business and professional associations, with clients in the areas of transportation, health care, economic development and education.
We continually monitor and work on issues related to taxes, workers’ compensation, regulations, human resources and employment law.
We are true partners with our clients. We utilize our experience, strong bipartisan connections and deep personal relationships with the key decision makers in the Legislature and the executive branch to give those we represent the foresight, influence and access they need to achieve their policy and political goals.

Government Relations & Lobbying
During the legislative session and throughout the year, we are engaging elected officials and key administrative staff to promote and defend your interests at the Capitol.
Bill Tracking
More Than 2,000 bills are filed each year by our legislators – and we read every single bill before session starts. We monitor them throughout the year and keep clients informed about changes affecting their interests.
Legislative Strategy
Successful legislative strategies require planning and execution. We work with our clients to identify their short and long- term policy goals to outline a plan of action, and then we execute the plan.
Coalition Building
Our clients often have policy goals that align with other organizations. We identify and reach out to other associations and businesses that may have similar interests as our clients in order to strengthen our overall position.
Legislative Interim Activities
Sometimes, the most important work happens after the legislature adjourns for the year. We attend interim hearings at the Capitol and work one-on-one with legislators to educate and prepare them for the upcoming year
Business Development
The personal relationships and network we’ve developed across the state is one of our greatest strengths. As governments turn to private businesses more for solutions, we open doors and provide access to key decision makers.

JERROD SHOUSE
Jerrod Shouse is the founder of Shouse Consulting. He has more than twenty years of experience working within Oklahoma state government and has built Shouse Consulting into one of Oklahoma’s most respected public affairs firms.
Prior to founding Shouse Consulting, Jerrod served six years in the office of Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating as the governor’s personal assistant and as a policy advisor on several issues. He later served as press secretary for University of Oklahoma President David Boren and as spokesperson for the university.
Jerrod has served on the boards of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City, the Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Oklahoma Arts Institute Foundation, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber Board of Advisors, the Leadership Oklahoma City Alumni Board, and on Governor Mary Fallin's Task Force on Economic Development and Job Creation.
Jerrod received a Bachelor of Arts degree in public affairs and administration from the University of Oklahoma.
